Brown Fused Alumina Abrasive Grit For Resin and Vitrified Grinding Wheels

Brown Fused Alumina Abrasive Grit For Resin and Vitrified Grinding Wheels

Introduction : Brown Fused Alumina is one of the electro-corundum family. wellknown by downstream industry as type A grain.Other name includes corundum, corindon, alundum, artificial emery, brown aluminum oxide, emery, etc. It is made out by the smelting of bauxite and other agents in an electric arc furnace at temperatures higher than 2000°C. It is both a hard...

Introduction

BFA is well known as the type A grain in terms of downstream industry, being an ingredient for resin bonded and vitrified grinding wheels, is considered a regular constituent for many design and purpose, due to its better tenacity, to achieve the balance of efficiency and lifecycle. White alumina and Silicon carbide is more hard but friable relatively comparing with brown alumina, however, a mixed usage of WA or SiC with A has merits of durable and efficient.
