Introduction:
Bauxite coverswide
range for refractory grade material. Raw bauxite ore is widely used in the production of aluminum metals. Calcined Bauxite is obtained by calcining (heating) superior grade bauxite at high temperature (from 850℃ to 1600℃). This removes moisture thereby increasing the alumina content. Compared to an alumina content of about 57 % to 58 % in raw Bauxite, Calcined Bauxite has an alumina content of 82 % to 86 %. The heating is carried out in rotary kilns. In the refractory industry, Bauxite is typically used in ladle working lining, delta sections, general purpose repair, melting furnace and mineral processing. It also can be used in pedestrian pathways and road preparation surface.
