Brown Fused Alumina briefing introduction:
Brown Fused Alumina also is known as BFA, alundum, corundum, corindon, emery, synthetic corundum, artificial corundum, etc.. It belongs to the group of electro-corundum. It is produced by smelting mixtures of calcined bauxite, iron and coke(anthracite) in an electric arc furnace at temperatures more than 2000°C. Featured with hard(Mohs 9), tough, and fire-resistant, fragmentized BFA can be used in refractory castables and grinding materials coating on flat and soft textures or bonding with ceramic or resin as surface treatment tools. It is also a good material of foundry mortar and road material of friction-resistant.
